One of the Best Sherlock Fics Ever

I just finished reading this exquisite piece of fiction. This is actually the second-best Sherlock BBC fic I have ever read (the other one being quite possibly the saddest thing that I have ever read).
Be warned, it is slash (Johnlock or Sherlock/John, in this case) and 8 chapters long. However, the slash isn't graphic and it's well worth the read- even if slash isn't really your thing (Unless you detest it. I can't help you there if that's the case). The whole story centers on how Sherlock and John's relationship evolves as they follow a mystery designed to bring them to an important realization.

GAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I just literally jumped up, ran out side and shouted the news to the whole neighborhood.

THE HOBBIT IS A TRILOGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Violence, Rainbows, and Obsidian

Interesting things have been happening this week.
First off, I just rounded out my Yugioh deck! It now contains exactly 60 well-chosen cards. W00T!!
.....Yes, I trade and play yugioh. Why? Because it's the only game that I can play with a certain friend of mine that doesn't involve beating each other with sticks, nerf swords, or our fists. Yes, we actually do that. It's fun, but painful. Which reminds me! The other day this friend and I were talking about drawing styles and he complimented my art (which is a very high honor, seeing as he's insanely good at drawing). I thanked him and complemented his artwork and we lapsed into a happy silence. Then he hit me in the face. I pushed him off the edge of the couch in retaliation.
"You know what I've noticed?" I said, after we stopped hitting each other.
"What?" He asked.
"Whenever we agree upon something or start being nice, we have to hit each other."
He thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, I guess you're right." He said, before I whacked him over the head.

....Bonding through violence and insults for the win!! =D

The best part of today was getting to walk through town with Cooper. We talked about many things, including Good Omens, Comicon, Weird Al, the new book he got: "A Geek's Guide to World Domination". Unfortunately, the writers of said book failed epically(how do I spell this???) in the LOTR department.
"[Gimli's] friendship with Legolas helped reestablish the bond between the Dwarves and Elves of Middle-Earth. In addition to his inclusion  in the Fellowship, Gimli traveled with Bilbo in The Hobbit." - A Geek's Guide to World Domination, page 136
Words cannot describe just how angry this makes me. I started to go into a nerd-rage after Cooper angrily read out the page.
What the frakk, people?? 'Cmon. You have the word 'Geek' on the flippin cover, and yet you can't get an obvious LOTR fact?? Does the title 'Gimli, son of Glóin' mean anything to these people???
Gah. Anyhoo.
Besides this aggravating Tolkien fail, today was pretty awesome. To top it off, Cooper gave me some obsidian! Never have I thought that I'd hear the words "I have a bag of obsidian for you!" in this lifetime.
Awesome.
Thanks for being patient with my nerd-raging and multiple trains of thought, Cooper! =^^=

....Incidentally, if any of you find little pieces of thoughts (usually rainbow and marked with things like 'Doctor Who', 'Discworld', and 'Spirk') lying around the park, or maybe up a tree, could you please return them to me? Just deliver them to the Moon. Preferably the Dark Side. I hate trying to walk all the way over to the post office. It's too bright and the cows look at me funny. =P

Striving for the Title of 'True LOTR Fan'

I have both a confession and some radically good news.
Okay.
Confession: I have not yet read Lord of the Rings. Yes, I feel horrible. This is the first time I have ever publicly admitted this terrible and condemning fact, and you know what?? It almost feels nice getting it off my chest. YOU HEAR THAT, WORLD??? I STARTED READING LOTR, BUT GOT LOST AND I HAVEN'T TRIED SINCE!!! I'M SORRY, AND I AM FIXING IT RIGHT NOW.
That's right. The radically good news is that I am reading it!! As of this moment, I can feel good about calling myself a fan.

....Phew. That's been weighing on me for some time now. Please don't hate on me for not reading it. Seriously. I've got enough grief from the people I've already told. XD

HANKLERFISH!!!!!1

Heeey! It's been a while since I've written a title in all caps and with excessive exclamation marks! And the 1 was a nice touch. XD

I have been a little sad lately. It's a summer thing, I think. I need to see my friends more often. I will make a bigger effort from now on.
I've also been watching Nabari No Ou. This is an excellent anime (you can find it on Netflix), but it is SO ANGSTY. SERIOUSLY. The main character just admitted that he loved his (injured, bleeding and passed out) friend (who just so happens to be even more angsty then the main), but that he won't tell him (his friend) because it would "make him even more confused."
The stupid UST and existential angst is suffocating.

Luckily for me, I found Hank Green's song about anglerfish! =D
Who knew that all I needed was a little advice from a Hanklerfish???
Hanklerfiiiish. Hanklerfiiiiiiiish. Hanklerfish!!
...Right.

Reading Anxieties

Ever since I was about 8, I've been bothered by something:
Is there such a thing as a perfect book?
If so, where can I get it? Who wrote it? What title would befit such a work? And to whom would it been seen as perfect? Most importantly, how could I ever read it?  My perfect book, already read and gone over. I'd have already screamed at every suspenseful chapter, heaved a relieved sigh at every narrow escape, nodded knowingly every time my favorite character said something witty and meaningful. The pages would have been smeared with tears and grass stains, bird's feathers would have been pressed between chapters, chapter 42 would have a little smiley face.
I would hold so many unforgotten, reopened, and revised memories that just looking at the cover would bring back a torrent of tastes and feelings. It would be painful. It would hurt. And yet I'd keep on reliving and adding, relishing every mixed moment of pain and joy- like pulling out teeth before they're quite ready.
This perfect book would be so complete, no amount of fanfiction or spinoffs would ever lend comfort, however small, after it was over and done with. It would be so heart achingly perfect that I wouldn't ever be able to stop thinking about it. I'd read it over and over again, attaching my life so seamlessly to it that I actually manifest within it - just another spellbound word on a page.

I soon realized that finding the perfect book would not be good (not to mention actually reading it). It sounds like it would be quite detrimental to my health. =)

I Watched Alien

I just saw Alien.
I need to watch the sequel.
Seriously. Need. I've just got to find about 2 hours when I don't have anything to do and my sister isn't there.
I think that Alien is the scariest live action move that I have ever seen. I narrow it down to 'live action' because of all the terrifying cartoons I have seen in my lifetime. (Like All Dogs Go To Heaven. Watership Down. ....Bambi. Bambi is was terrifying.)
Fortunately, I can imagine a whole hell of a lot worse, so Alien wasn't that bad.

This movie was so great, I really can't think of anything to say against it. The cinematography was so good, it looks like they filmed it in 2012, not 1979. The lighting was amazing, the acting sublime, the sound effects were expertly placed, and the sets. Oh Goddess, the sets. Never have I seen such amazing sets. And the alien. That frakkin thing might as well have been real.
And my favorite part?? I got to see Sigourney Weaver IN HER UNDERWEAR.

Tiny underwear no less.

Tadpoles

Whenever I'm stressed out, I have dreams about trying to save aquatic creatures. In last night's dream, someone I know handed me a large jar full of tadpoles. They had gravel, moss, and dirt, but little water. They were trying to swim and breathe in the muck, wiggling around pitifully.
I walked inside and filled up the glass. The river stones and little creatures spun around madly for a moment before the waters cleared. Tadpoles were happy and smiled at me as they swimmed around. I looked closer though, and saw that they were surrounded my muck and plastic children's toys. I spent all day sitting at the table, filtering and sorting everything by hand. My sister came up to me when I was almost done and told me that it was time to stop. I really didn't want to, but she dragged me away from the table. I woke up, leaving the job unfinished.
I really wanted to save those tadpoles.

I'm on break from math studies right now. The pressures and anxiety in the room seems to have elevated. Maybe it's just my perception, but I'm not quite sure.

Tadpoles rock.
