Hugo: Color Coded for Your Convenience.

I watched Hugo the other day!! It was cute, fun, creepy, imaginative, and visually brilliant.
I think my favorite part about this movie was the colors. Each color represented a certain mood, character, or idea.

Orange: The 'outside' world and strangeness.
Blue: Hugo's world and loneliness.
Yellow, Red, and Purple: Love
Dark Reds and Purples: Mystery
Green: 'Fixed' or Working things.

The movie starts out with just orange and blue with very distinct differences. This showed just how detached Hugo was from the outside world. After a while, new colors (along with the characters) are involved and the orange and blue start to blend together.
By the end of the movie, the colors have blended and stabilized perfectly.
